We’re delighted to be going to Hill of Burns Creetown, Galloway in May 2026 for our Health and Healing Retreat.
This is a mindfulness based retreat for mind, body and soul, that will support guests in the following ways:
-Nervous system restoration
-Emotional balance (reduced stress / anxiety)
-Increased self awareness & impulse control
-Awakening of self compassion
-Reconnection with self (calmness & greater clarity)
-Create the conditions to support health recovery
-Promote physical and emotional healing
-Learn tools and techniques to integrate daily to optimise health and vitality
The Retreat will provide a holistic approach to health and wellness using a range of practices, delivered in sequence to unwind the nervous system, discharge stored survival stress from the body and restore inner harmony.
Self compassion is the cornerstone of human health and the retreat will be promoting the cultivation of self compassion using a variety of practices over the weekend. Includes time for introspection, group reflection and optional sharing.
What’s included:
Mindfulness and meditation practices, breath work, mindful movement (Yoga / Qi Gong), sound bath, Polyvagal nervous system practices, SOMATIC practices, compassion based practices, sharing circle, nature walks, tutor support.
There will be free time for guests in the evening’s, as well as the option to participate in sharing circles, where we’ll explore specific topics and invite self enquiry and optional sharing. This can help to deepen the retreat experience for guests.

Thursday 28th May - Arrival from 4pm
Friday 29th May - 7.30am until 5pm (Retreat Program)
Saturday 30th May - 7.30am until 5pm (Retreat Program)
Sunday 31st May - 7.30am until 4pm (Retreat Program)
There will be an optional earlier start on Friday, Saturday and Sunday for those that wish to join a morning meditation and breath work session.
Food Provisions:
Thursday 28th May - dinner
Friday 29th May - brunch, dinner (lighter snacks also provided)
Saturday 30th May - brunch, dinner (lighter snacks also provided)
Sunday 31st May - brunch (lighter snacks also provided)
NB: Fasting in the morning until brunch (late morning / mid day) will be the set format for this retreat however there will be an option to take a light breakfast for those that need to eat earlier in the day.

Two persons sharing = £389
1. Ticket Type 1 - Deposit (single supplement room) - £150
2. Ticket Type 2 - Deposit (2 persons sharing room) - £150 each
This deposit secures your space on the retreat, pending receipt of the remaining balance.
The remaining balance can be paid in full up front or via 2 payment instalments, which we will email you about to confirm. Final payments must be made by end of April 2026.

Who is this retreat for?
This retreat is open to anyone interested in exploring mindfulness and other holistic mind-body practices to support health and wellbeing, grow through spiritual development and learn some of key foundations for self mastery. It can be beneficial to have had some experience of mindfulness practice beforehand, however not mandatory. If you wish to attend but haven’t had any prior experience, you can contact us at info@themindfulenterprise.org if you would like a brief discussion before booking. Based on the feedback from this years guests who joined us in Skye, the Retreat experience has the potential to be memorable and a real catalyst for individual transformation.
Who will facilitate?
Gary Young, founder of The Mindful Enterprise, is the lead facilitator. Gary is an experienced Mindfulness Teacher, Therapist, Coach and Meditation Guide with a passion to empower people with the tools to live a conscious, healthy, fulfilling life. His childhood experience of having a father with serious, recurring, mental health issues and his own recovery from depression and chronic fatigue syndrome have equipped him with a lived experience that can be invaluable for others in their health and healing journey. Over the last 10 + years, Gary has embarked on a dedicated journey of healing and spiritual development, exploring meditation, mindfulness, yoga, reiki, theta healing, breath work, mindful movement, shamanic healing, Polyvagal (nervous system) and SOMATIC practices. Accreditations and certifications include: MindValley Coaching Certification, Mindfulness Teaching Accreditation, Counselling Diploma, Emotional CPR and Trauma Informed Peer to Peer Support Training. Gary believes passionately in the power of mindfulness as the foundation to unlock human potential, increase health and wellbeing and enhance our relationship with self and others, which is fundamental to guiding humanity through these difficult times.

What's the cancellation policy?
Cancellation request is received 61 days or more prior to the retreat start date - full refund (less Stripe transaction fee). Cancellation request received between 30 days and 60 days prior to the retreat start date - refund of 50% of the total fee (less Stripe transaction fee). Cancellation request received 29 days or less - no refund will be given. In the unlikely event of a retreat being cancelled by us due to low numbers or other unforeseen circumstances, all money already paid will be refunded.
