My Coaching and Therapeutic Services
I’m an integrative therapist, accredited mindfulness teacher, meditation guide, and personal empowerment coach. For over a decade, I’ve been supporting people with their personal growth journey, helping them heal emotionally in a way that feels accessible, reconnect with their true selves, make sense of their inner world, and create lasting, meaningful change in their lives.
My work is grounded in a holistic, trauma-informed approach that honours the connection between mind, body, and nervous system. I draw on a diverse blend of modalities including mindfulness, somatic and polyvagal-informed practices, talk therapy, guided meditation, internal family systems, and coaching. I also bring a deep understanding of human psychology, emotional healing, and family/relationship dynamics into sessions to understand how previous experiences can influence today’s challenges, behaviours and state of wellbeing.
With a Diploma in Counselling Skills, a certification in coaching, and Mindfulness Teaching accreditation through the Mindfulness Association, I’ve spent over 12 years immersed in the study of the mind-body connection, trauma, and personal transformation. My style is compassionate, empowering and collaborative—I meet you where you are, and together we explore what’s holding you back, where you want to go, and how to get there.
Clients often come to me when they feel stuck, in transition, in crisis, overwhelmed, anxious, or disconnected. Whether you’re navigating emotional difficulties, struggling with stress, or wanting to feel more at peace in your life, I offer a safe, grounded space to slow down, reflect, and find a positive way forward. Sessions may include reflective conversation, guided practices, nervous system support, and practical tools tailored to your needs and goals.
I also create and share custom meditation audios and videos to support your ongoing home practice, helping you build inner resilience, self-awareness and emotional balance beyond the sessions. These components then provide the foundations for improvements across all aspects of your life, including a deeper connection and fulfillment in your relationships.
At the heart of my work is a belief in your capacity to heal, grow, and come home to your true self—fully, gently, and at your own pace.
About Gary
I grew up in West Edinburgh with my parents and my older sister where I developed a love for travel, adventure, music and sport, in particular football. I played competitively until I was 35 years old.
My earliest introduction to my current career path was through my father’s serious, recurring, mental health issues, when I was 6 years old, which resulted in long spells in psychiatric hospital.
I had to grow up pretty quickly and in the years that followed I learned a lot about the human mind, depression and the affects it can have on individuals and families without access to the right knowledge, tools and support system. This passion became the catalyst for the creation of The Mindful Enterprise in 2016.
Prior to this, I worked in Financial Services, where I spent 23 years managing large, complex change in the Retail Banking sector as a project / programme manager. I enjoyed the lifestyle it gave me but I felt unfulfilled and was being pulled in a different direction. During the last 6 years of my corporate career I started to explore self development through energy healing (reiki), meditation, mindfulness, therapy / self healing, inner child work, mindful movement, breath work and more recently practices based on SOMATIC and Polyvagal Theory. I completed my Mindfulness Teacher training, various other online courses on coaching, peer to peer support, emotional CPR, movement (Qigong), the nervous system and a diploma in Counselling skills.
My journey with mindfulness in particular has been one of the most important interventions in my life. It’s helped me to become conscious, self aware, centred and compassionate and create a healthy, wholesome lifestyle. I’ve focused with dedication on my own emotional healing journey, healing the relationship with myself and my dad and family relationships have deepened. This journey has equipped me well to support others on a similar path, ensuring that my work comes from a place of embodied experience not just learned from a text book, which creates a safe, secure and non-judgmental space for individuals to open up and be their full selves.
I find one to one work hugely rewarding, it feels natural and an honour to walk the path of personal growth together. I look forward to our introduction.
